Bio
Share about yourself with the community | Here’s how it starts. In 2013, I move from my home state Utah to live on my own at 18 in California. A year later I go on a Vipassana retreat that awakens a deep desire for spiritual institutions and conscious living centers. While attending university, I encounter the concept of ecovillages through my online research. I steadily become fascinated and start obsessing over the idea. Educated as a cultural anthropologist, I apply my research lens to the ecovillage movement. Over the course of 8 years, I work as an arts-activism nonprofit director, coworking lab assistant, TEDx marketing team member, university art model, graphic designer, performance poet, and sustainability officer for my local government, weaving travel in where I can. Still, something is missing. I decide I can’t take not living in an ecovillage anymore and leave my life in California to travel through Mexico and Costa Rica exploring ecovillages and conscious communities. I dive deeper into the regenerative movement and observe the emergence of what I call “ecovillages 2.0”, meaning regenerative neighborhoods. In 2022, I get certified through GEN as an ecovillage designer. That fall I leave Mexico to visit my cousins in Oregon, who are building an offgrid regenerative farm and ecovillage. Through Gaianet I meet Oscar Correa and we become cofounders of Regen Tribe. I move to Mexico and here I am, building community! |
