Creating this channel to explore thoughts on religions – the social constructs societies share to explore spirituality.

I’ve been on 7 year journey exploring as many as I can find.

From Christianity that I was raised in,

To Buddhism that doesn’t consider itself a “religion” per se, to Islam after exploring some mosques on a long layer over in the Middle East, to currently Neo religions like thelema, and now the knowledge book based in Istanbul.

I consider The books, stories, and rituals as the tools that share the principles and values these religions bring to their followers for guidance to ideally spirit enlightenment – and the “OGs” and most successful social movements.

    Let’s talk about it 🙂

Planning to make a sub thread for each religion I can find to share magick I’m finding in each – I invite everyone with something to share to please do and let’s find the common thread between everyone’s journeys to connection & existence.

Islam – started beginning of 700 CE – Islam originated with Muhammad’s mission in Mecca and Medina. It is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion centered on the Quran and the teachings of Muhammad, the religion’s founder. Adherents of Islam, called Muslims, number approximately 1.9 billion globally and are the world’s second-largest religious population after Christians.

I an an omnist and have done my fair share of studying and am always hungry for more knowledge. As an omnist, I believe that no one religion or philosophy contains all the truth. Truths are contain on all religions and philosophy. God is not in a temple or in a book. God is inside of us all. We must look to all the guidance and see what binds them. The only relationship you will have with God is the one you cultivate yourself.

      Thanks for sharing!

      Love this concept!!

Omnism is the respect of or belief in all religion.[1][2]Those who hold this belief are called omnists. In recent years, the term has been resurfacing due to the interest of modern-day self-described omnists who have rediscovered and begun to redefine the term. Omnism is similar to syncretism, the belief in a fusion of faiths in harmony.[3] However, it can also be seen as a way to accept the existence of various religions without believing in all that they profess to teach. Many omnists say that all religions contain truths, but that no one religion offers all that is truth.

“religions – the social constructs societies share to explore spirituality”

    i like this definition/description.

for me, everything is ‘consciousness’ or a ‘pov’ or ‘frame of reference’ based on underlying beliefs/lenses/worldviews/background-knowledge-or-assumptions 🙂 so everything is actually a pliable/evolving perspective.

    share away!
