Mutal Aid: Instead of providing charity, you offer ways to support that empower disadvantaged individuals or groups to ultimately achieve self-sufficiency and a state of thriving where intervention and retrojustice is less needed, instead of creating systems of philanthropic dependence.

A mutual aid toolkit that defines how to build resilient communities in the face of future disasters

From 1 perspective, for me it comes down to very simple Yes/No binary questions (🙄 like in conventional binary computing? Idk):

“Are you asking for a handout or a legup and am I equipped to offer/provide either one or both? From what ‘position’ am I doing my own asking? Is there synergy?”

    That is all. 😆

I want to briefly mention a quote I like. “It’s important to understand the difference between a hand out and a hand up.” 🙏🌞

Yeah Rabbitt – it’s something i’ve been clarify (mostly with myself) lately – for years it has just hummed as a feeling/sensation in the back of my mind.

The topics & energy of ‘equitableness/equity’, ‘underdog’, ‘dharma/karma’, ‘trauma’ etc. are always floating around, whether it’s within ‘spiritual’ or ‘capitalist’ communities.

Like, pfft – how do i essentially *ROB/deplete/wound* myself of opportunities by forgoing/abusing Capitalist structures/tendencies that seem/feel cruel/harsh to myself?

      Or **The Ultimate Frustration**:

What is this sh&t about needing to waste my time & resources understanding/investing-in communities that are basically built upon ‘cultural appropriation’ – their may ideals might match my own but they are not accessible/sustainable/practical to me?

There’s no use ‘hoping’ that one day they might match or become my desired reality (lol i haven’t done ‘hope’ for a long time – ‘hope’ is for beggars (or, in the absence of creative impulse & the ability to take desired action(s), ‘hope’ is essentially a begging attitude/vibration)?

Lol – someone said that even ‘Permaculture’ is a cultural appropriation of farming methods based on indigenous ways of tending the land.

… Mostly, it/s an issue/question that’s most easily resolved by being aware of external structures (imposed or not) & personal notions of ‘Value (exchange/dissemination)’.
