Community Lab Tulum – Week 1 Update
Week 1
Taking notes & getting to know the community
The journey begins!
We packed our things from the Incubator house in Tulum and moved into a neighborhood in the jungle to co.create a community structure.
In the first week we took our time to observe, get to know each other and brainstorm how we can optimize the community management process.
We made space to receive feedback from community members, share about our values and exchange ideas on how to improve the current situation. Here’s a an update on what we’ve been up to:
πOn the first night we had our first community sharing circle.
It was a great way to get to know each other and share our hopes and dreams for the project. We also discussed our values and how we want to create a space where everyone feels welcome and supported.
π We played connection games to help us get to know each other better and build trust. We laughed, cried, and shared some really vulnerable moments.
π On Tuesday, we hosted an organizational meeting with the community to share our perspectives on community structure. We discussed what we want more of, what needs improvements and possible solutions to that.
π We cleaned up the makerspace and got it ready for use. We also started planning some projects that we can work on together.
π We cleaned up the yoga shala and made it a more welcoming space. We also planted some trees to help shade the area.
π We had a massage Monday to help us relax and de-stress. It was a great way to end the week.
We’re really excited about the progress we’ve made and we’re looking forward to experiment, co.create and have fun together!
Stay tuned for the #CommunityLabTulum journey update!
